Thalassa (they/she) is a French American artist, educator, and beekeeper based in Iowa and Maine. Photographs ground their work and are often accompanied by audio, projections, or other materials. Thalassa is currently an Assistant Professor of Photography and Experimental Media at the University of Iowa.
